Plan Your Visit

Want to bring your class, homeschool club, or scout group to Sawtooth for a field trip? We may be able to help!

Please review the field trip activities, student admission, and group size limitations below, then fill out the form to contact our Youth Department. Due to scheduling constraints, we can offer field trips only from March to May and from September to November.

Your reservation remains pending until you receive a confirmation email from Sawtooth. Please allow 10 business days for a response. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Group Size

  • 2-12 Students: minimum of one hour for one activity
  • 13-30 Students: minimum of two hours for two activities
  • 31-50 Students: minimum of three hours for three activities

Please note that due to our studios' capacities, we cannot accommodate more than 50 students at this time.

Student Admission

  • 1 Activity: $25/student
  • 2 Activities: $40/student
  • 3 Activities: $55/student
  • Teachers + Chaperones: Free

Painting + Drawing

Ceramics

Prepare to roll up your sleeves and immerse yourself in the tactile experience of shaping and molding clay to form your very own ceramic mug. This hands-on activity will allow you to explore the art of pottery and create a functional piece of art that you can use in your daily life.

Printmaking

Step into our Print Shop and journey back in time to discover the art of letterpress. Immerse yourself in the craft as you master the techniques the legendary Benjamin Franklin used to print posters, almanacs, and more. By the end of the experience, you will have gained a deep appreciation for the profound influence that printmaking has had on shaping the world.

Textiles

Learn the intricate art of crochet, the traditional craft of weaving, or the essential skill of sewing. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your techniques, our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, helping you create beautiful and functional pieces.
