Volunteer

Sawtooth School for Visual Art needs volunteers to assist in our classrooms, help with events, work behind the scenes on administrative tasks, and more. By volunteering with us, you can support one of the longest-running community art schools in the region while making new friends and meeting other creatives who share similar interests.

We’re always looking for people who are interested in the following opportunities:

Assist with Studio Upkeep

Many hands make light work! Once a session, many of our studios will host a few days of deep cleaning—making sure the workspace is totally refreshed for a new group of students and getting rid of unnecessary materials or equipment. This is a great opportunity for those looking to get to know others working in their medium.

Help with Special Events

We’re always looking for friendly face to assist visitors and exhibitors during larger events, such as our regular exhibition openings, the annual Sawtooth Spotlight Holiday Market, or the Spring Arts Extravaganza. Roles include helping artists with loading in and loading out, assisting staff members in welcoming and checking in guests, and answering visitors’ questions while providing guidance and wayfinding during peak hours.

Be An Ambassador

Share the love for Sawtooth! We’re always looking for community representatives to help us increase community awareness around Sawtooth. This can include distributing posters for exhibitions, working alongside staff during community events, or assisting with outreach programs.
