Build a bench and burn it! The Japanese technique of Yakisugi has been used for centuries to fortify wood against weather and prolong the life of wood clad homes and other structures. In this XL Taste of Art, you’ll learn to build a stout, but attractive personal bench and then to charr it’s surface in a controlled burn that will strengthen it against water, wind and sun for many good years on your deck or alongside your fire pit

Registration will close one week prior to the start of class
