Youth: Introduction to Woodworking
This is a Youth class specifically tailored to middle school students – 6th through 8th grade. Students will learn the basic skills, tools, and safety rules of woodworking through hands on practice and exploration in the wood shop. Students will learn to measure, mark, and cut wood using machines. From there they will dive into milling, dimensioning lumber, and learn table saw safety as they make one or two cutting boards depending on time available.
Registration will close one week prior to the start of class.
