Grab your brooms and witchy-est hat and meet us at Sawtooth for making your very own softbook Grimoire! Borrowed from the French word grimoire, a variant of grammaire for grammar, a grimoire is a book of magical knowledge. It traditionally contained instructions on spell casting, rituals, your spiritual journey and creating magical items like talismans.

Fiber artist Grace McFetters will guide participants in making their very own, unique soft-book grimoire.  This hand-stitched beauty will be an exploration of your creativity in textiles:  textile collage, hand embroidery, and a lot of sewing together with the magic of your inspiration. We will come up with our own book blessing, a spell to keep inspiring creativity, and more. This class will use up spare threads, dye experiment cloths, vintage buttons, and other textile goodies you may have laying around the house thinking you would use on something someday.  Well, someday has arrived, just in time for this year’s Halloween!

Ages 14 and up.
