Art History Flavor: Through the Window with Henri Matisse
Throughout these 4 weeks we will create window scenes similar to those of Matisse using whimsical colors to create beautiful vacation views. Our focus will be on the balance of thick detail and thinner smooth brushstrokes to create the depth through the window.
*Students should bring 2-3 inspiration photos to use – instructor will have some as well.
Basic supplies are included for use over the duration of the class. Students may wish to purchase additional paint if needed.
**NO CLASS on Monday, August 17th (Instructor out of town) and Monday, September 7th (Labor Day Holiday).
