Art History Flavor: The Organic Style of Georgia O’Keefe
In this 5 week class we will look at several works by O’Keefe as well as close up images of flowers in hopes of replicating the layering of color to achieve the delicate opaqueness of petal forms or movement in a landscape. We will first use different types of paper to achieve this effect; then we will transition to acrylic paint and experiment with viscosity. The instructor will provide images for inspiration. Beginners in painting are welcome!
