Pamela Henderson

Director of Magnet Schools and MSAP Project Director for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools

Pamela Henderson (she/her) serves as Director of Magnet Schools and MSAP Project Director for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, where she oversees districtwide magnet programming and leads implementation of a $15 million federal grant supporting innovative educational opportunities across multiple schools. With more than fifteen years of leadership experience spanning education, nonprofit partnerships, and corporate management, Pamela brings expertise in strategic planning, community engagement, fiscal stewardship, program evaluation, and organizational development. She holds of Master of Arts in Transnational and Multicultural Literatures, a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Vocal Performance and is currently completing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Appalachian State University.

Throughout her career, Pamela has championed the transformative power of arts education. As former Arts Magnet Director at Reynolds High School, she developed partnerships with cultural institutions and community organizations to expand opportunities for students, and she continues that work today through district leadership and service on multiple educational advisory committees. A downtown Winston-Salem resident, Pamela has long viewed Sawtooth as a vital creative resource and community partner. Recommended by current board member Alexandra Hoskins, she brings a unique combination of arts education leadership, partnership development, strategic vision, and systems-level thinking that will help strengthen Sawtooth’s role within Winston-Salem’s broader educational and cultural landscape.
