Elizabeth Kelly

Elizabeth Sawyer Kelly is a watercolor artist whose work focuses on color, composition, and pattern. As a child Elizabeth took courses at Sawtooth before she headed off to a career teaching economics. At age fifty she decided that she needed to give up racquet sports and learn a new skill: she focused on watercolor starting with local community classes in Madison, Wisconsin. Over time she has had the opportunity to take many workshops with nationally recognized artists. As an instructor at Sawtooth she seeks to help students learn the basics of watercolor, the joy of creating, the confidence that comes with practice and skill development, and the exquisite pleasure of creating something unique.
