Let's Gogh Paint! | Homeschool | 9-12
In this class, students will learn about the art of Vincent van Gogh - one of the most
famous figures in art history. Using acrylic paints, students can recreate several of his pieces, such as The Starry Night and Sunflowers. Students will also learn about Post-Impressionism and create their own paintings in the style of van Gogh. We will even embrace van Gogh’s love for plein air (painting outdoors) as we head outside to create sketches of the world around us!
Through this class, students will learn about the impact Vincent van Gogh had on the
world of art and practice Impressionism-based painting techniques. We will also discuss and practice elements of art, such as color blending, brushstrokes, and composition.
