Character Design | Ages 9-13
In this class, we will focus on drawing and painting, as well as giving students the chance to develop their own characters. You will learn how to create effective and engaging characters by understanding the art of shape language and using color to convey personality and character traits. Additionally, we will cover posing characters in action.
Jess Harkey, a book illustrator who specializes in creating whimsical characters, will lead the class. However, she is also a trained illustrator and can help with any ideas that students may have.
