Intro to Large Format Photography
Leap into the world of large format photography with 4x5 view cameras. Create unrivaled and unique images with a photographic tool that dates back to the 1830's and yet is still used a beloved by many a professional and hobbyist photographer alike. Over the course of 4 weeks, learn to be intentional with each image you create. Expose yourself to various types of 4x5 cameras and lenses and camera movements to control/manipulate perspective and depth. Practical how to's will include sheet film handling, light meter use, bellows factor, film processing, and contact printing/enlarging.
This class is limited to 5 students. All cameras and film will be provided by Sawtooth School.
The class will conclude with contact prints made from negatives the students processed themselves. Ages: 16-Adult
