Etching Workshop
Using the technique of acid etching, make a one of a kind textured brass plate you can incorporate into your handmade jewelry. While creating the brass plate, you’ll learn to use different resists. Some resists lend themselves to loose abstract designs and others will allow hand drawn fine detail. You can decide which will be best for the texture you want to end up with. Tips for using the etched plate in the rolling mill and additional ways to create layered textures will be covered. Roller print one of your designs onto silver sheet to make a pendant! This class is excellent for anyone with or without previous experience in the Metals Studio. A $40 materials fee will be collected during registration and include all metal and supplies necessary.
