Colored Pencil

Friday, February 21, 6-8pm & Saturday, February 22, 10:00am-3:30pm

Colored pencils are a surprisingly flexible, rich, and professional medium; they are not just for kids and coloring books! Learn the basics of handling colored pencils; how to mix your own colors using only 5 pencils (so that you don’t need that expensive set of 120!), how to choose the right paper for your project, what the color wheel means to your colored pencil work, and how to draw one fruit or veggie. Then we will expand techniques learned to include fun tricks and tools for making brilliant, crisp, rich drawings or “paintings.” Your final project will be based on a still-life set-up that you will compose.

Ages 16-adult

Supplies provided.
