Class Image Printing on Paper, Impressing into Clay

Printing on Paper, Impressing into Clay

Using a rubber printing plate, you will carve and create your own texture mat that can be used on paper and clay. This is a two-part class that will meet on October 19 and October 26.
During the first class, the print making instructor, Mona Wu will guide you to create the rubber plate with your own design and print the image on paper.
During the second class on October 26, the ceramic instructor, Warren Moyer, will teach you how to press your carved rubber plate into clay to create a raised image. These low relief clay impressions can be formed into a shallow tray, mug, etc. Clay pieces will be glazed, fired, and ready for pickup in 4-6 weeks.
