Sawtooth School for Visual Art is proud to partner with Footnote Coffee & Cocktails to present a series of artist presentations — free and open to the public — taking place at Footnote on February 24, March 10, April 7, and May 12.
Now in its third year, Sawtooth’s Artists-in-Residence program supports emerging and mid-career artists through time, space, and access to professional resources. While the residency naturally fosters connection through shared studios and daily life at the school, this partnership with Footnote expands that spirit outward — inviting the public to engage directly with artists and their creative process.
Through a series of artist presentations and conversations, residents will share their ideas, goals, and methods, offering insight into the thinking and making behind their work. For attendees, these events provide a meaningful way to support, nurture, and be inspired by the artists who are calling Sawtooth — and Winston-Salem — home for a season.
Together, Sawtooth and Footnote aim to create a welcoming platform that celebrates artistic vision, encourages dialogue, and deepens the connection between artists and audiences.
