Want to work in a creative hub that gives back? Sawtooth is the region’s longest-running community art school – we are celebrating our 80th anniversary in 2025. We are passionate about art and artists, exploring human ingenuity and creativity, and ensuring art is accessible to all.

INTERESTED IN TEACHING?

Sawtooth provides hundreds of high-quality, hands-on visual experiences throughout the year for students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. Our instructors include a mix of studio artists and professional educators, all eager to share their skills with our creative and dedicated community. We offer classes and workshops in eleven disciplines for youth, teen, and adult age groups. Please contact the program director of your desired medium and apply to become one of our instructors.

Volunteering + Work Study Program

Sawtooth School for Visual Art needs volunteers to assist in our classrooms, help with events, work behind the scenes on administrative tasks, and more. By volunteering with us, you can earn a free membership, tickets to events, and support one of the longest running community art schools in the region! CAMP SAWTOOTH INSTRUCTORS + INTERNS

Camp Sawtooth is seeking instructors for 2025’s 8-week session, from June 2- July 25. Our instructors play a vital role in facilitating an engaging and enlightening experience for young students. We encourage folks with a passion for the arts and community education to apply.

Camp Sawtooth offers a summer internship program for High School Juniors and Seniors as well as Undergraduate students. The program requires a commitment of 2-8 weeks, with interns working between 22.5-35 hours per week.
