Fiber and Flow: Create a Tapestry Through Wet Felting
Guided by Fiber Artist Samara Johnson, with both meditative and movement experiences, students will learn how to felt a small tapestry surface using both wet-felting and needle-felting techniques with sheep’s wool. Participants will be encouraged to create work based on an imaginary, abstract, or realistic concept. This body-mind practice will result in a unique felted wall-hanging as well as confidence in art making through communal experiential learning. Samara is an energetic teacher and will demonstrate both wet and needle felting techniques.
