Step right up for a hands-on night photography workshop at the county fair in Winston-Salem. In this one-week class, students will meet for a three-hour photo walk at the fair and explore the colorful, fast-moving energy of rides, games, crowds, food stands, and fireworks after dark. The county fair offers a perfect setting to practice creative nighttime techniques in a lively real-world environment. Students will learn how to use long exposure to capture motion, light trails, and glowing carnival rides; practice candid street photography while documenting people, atmosphere, and unexpected moments; and explore camera settings for photographing fireworks with clarity and impact. This workshop will include live demonstrations, guided shooting exercises, and individual support throughout the evening. Students will leave with a stronger understanding of low-light photography, creative camera settings, and how to tell a visual story in a busy public setting. This is the companion class to photographing the county fair during the daytime. The 2nd class is a portfolio share and review of work created during the photo walk (Friday, Oct 9). This final class will be combined with students from the Daytime country fair photo walk.
