Mia Sloan

Rev. Dr. Mia Hash-Sloan is a visionary faith leader, strategist, and certified Sawubona Healing Circle Facilitator who embodies the life of an artist in nontraditional ways. With more than 25 years of ministry and community impact, she approaches life through a vibrant, creative lens that brings together healing, faith, and justice. A third-generation minister, she creates transformative spaces where diverse communities can experience wholeness and liberation. Her doctoral research, Religious Trauma: How Religious Trauma Has Unjustly Silenced Black Women Living with HIV in the U.S. South, amplifies marginalized voices and advances justice-centered ministry. Known for her compassionate, authentic presence, Rev. Mia thrives at the intersections of faith and community, blending pastoral wisdom, cultural insight, and artistic expression. She finds joy in African tie-dyeing, meditative hiking, exploring art museums, and savoring life’s beauty with her loved ones.
