Erica Palmiter (she/her) serves as the Public Art Project Planner for the City of Winston-Salem, where she oversees public art for both the City and County. She holds an MFA in Studio Art from California Institute of the Arts and an MA in Art Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Erica has built a career at the intersection of community engagement and the arts, with experience spanning local and national organizations. Her past roles include developing a teaching artist training framework at CalArts, designing a permanent community education space at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and leading a national teacher training program focused on arts integration. Since returning to Winston-Salem, Erica has continued this work through public sector leadership.
