Hannah Apthorpe is the Communications Manager at Arbor Acres Retirement Community, where she helps tell the story of a community built around Artistry: the belief that everyone brings their own unique touch to the work they do. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Encouraged by current board member Karl Stauber to become involved with Sawtooth, she is honored to contribute to an organization that fosters an 80+ year legacy of creativity and connection in Winston-Salem. She brings experience in communications, marketing, event planning, and organizational strategy to the board.
A longtime lover of creating things by hand, Hannah has taken painting and ceramics classes at Sawtooth and especially enjoys the friendships formed with fellow classmates and staff. Outside of visual art, music is her primary creative outlet; she enjoys writing music and continually expanding her robust Spotify library.
